Clinical Nursing Supervisor (RN) – Coronary Care Unit (CCU)

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical and operational oversight for the CCU/Intermediate Care department
  • Serve as the acting leader in the absence of the Director or Manager
  • Supervise and support nursing staff during assigned shifts
  • Ensure quality patient care, patient safety, and regulatory compliance
  • Cookstaffing, patient flow, workflow, and department operations
  • Collaborate with physicians, leadership, and interdisciplinary care teams
  • Monitor and respond to changes in cardiac and high-acuity patient conditions
  • Support orientation, training, and staff development
  • Participate in quality improvement and performance initiatives
  • Perform direct patient care as needed within RN scope of practice

Qualifications

  • Current and valid state Registered Nurse license
  • Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Current Basic Life Support certificate (BLS) upon hire and maintain current
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire and maintain current
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred
  • Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certificate preferred for Intensive Care
  • Non-OB Facilities – NRP Required 90 days after hire and maintained
  • Professional Certification within 2 years of hire, preferred

Pay

Competitive compensation with a reasonable estimate of $37.80 to $54.75 per hour. Exact starting compensation will be determined at the time of selection.

About the Role

Central Maine Medical Center (CMMC) is a 250-bed, not-for-profit regional referral hospital in Lewiston, Maine. It is home to the region's only Cancer Care Center, an orthopedic ambulatory surgery center, and the Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute.
