Clinical Nursing Supervisor (RN) - CSU
Responsibilities
- Supports administrative responsibility for the department service functions.
- Works collaboratively with the unit Director and/or Manager.
- Develops and implements departmental plans, including performance improvement activities and compliance with current federal and/or state regulations.
- Prepares, conducts and/or oversees department(s) orientation and training of personnel.
- Communicates with staff, physicians, and administration both written and verbally.
- Responsible and accountable for the quality of staff and functions during their shift.
- Aids the Department Director in the daily operation of the unit, directing, supervising, and evaluating personnel, ensuring the proper use of time, equipment, and staff.
- Ensures the efficient functions of the department.
- Performs direct patient care, only as needed, within the scope practice.
- Continually assesses care and directs staff to make immediate changes in the plan of care.
Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN License.
- Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
- Current ACLS (AHA) preferred.
- Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- RN-C within 2 years of hire preferred.
- PALS within 30 days of hire for units that admit pediatric patients.
Pay
A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $51.84 to $71.46. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
