Position Overview
United Health Services (UHS) is seeking a Clinical Nursing Supervisor to lead and oversee nursing operations in a patient care setting. The role involves supervising nursing staff, coordinating clinical operations, and ensuring high standards of patient care and safety. Ideal candidates should have strong clinical expertise, effective communication skills, and a passion for mentoring others.

Compensation Range
- $40.87 - $62.19 per hour, depending on experience
Benefits
You will be eligible for benefits if you are hired into a regular position with at least 24 scheduled weekly hours. Sign on Incentives: Up to a $7500 sign on Bonus for candidates who meet the eligibility criteria.
Job Responsibilities
- Investigates operational problems and makes administrative judgments and decisions, consulting the Director of Nursing and/or Administrator On Call as necessary
- Performs regular rounds on all nursing units; observes resident care and work performance of nursing staff and provides feedback to Nurse Managers
- Responds to and provides leadership during hospital codes as required
- Addresses concerns and complaints from employees, patients, families, and physicians using established facility systems
- Provides information to the media in accordance with facility policy
- Refers inter- and intra-departmental issues to the appropriate resources or resolves them directly as needed
- Collaborates with unit staff and Nurse Managers to ensure adequate and appropriate staffing
- Accepts and completes special projects as assigned by the Director of Nursing
- Serves on councils or committees to help develop policy, implement changes, and improve nursing practice
- Demonstrates leadership by accepting interim management roles as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum Required:
- A graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
- Three (3) years of progressive Nursing experience
- Current New York State Registered Nurse License
- CPR within 3 months of hire
- Preferred:
- Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nursing
- Previous supervisory experience in a hospital setting
- Professional certification in a related nursing specialty (Nursing Administration)
- ACLS certification
