About the role
This position involves providing clinical leadership and operational oversight within a healthcare facility.
Responsibilities
- Investigate operational issues, make administrative decisions, and consult with senior staff as needed.
- Conduct rounds on nursing units, observe resident care, and provide feedback to Nurse Managers.
- Lead during hospital code responses and address concerns from staff, patients, families, and physicians.
- Manage inter- and intra-departmental issues, ensuring effective communication and resolution.
- Collaborate on staffing needs and facilitate cooperation between Nursing and Medical Staff.
- Disseminate policy information, respond to safety hazards, and participate in committees to improve nursing practices.
- Assume interim management roles and complete special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing school with a valid RN license.
- At least three years of progressive nursing experience.
- CPR certification within three months of hire.
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor’s in Nursing.
- Supervisory experience.
- Professional certifications.
- ACLS certification.
Work Environment
- Primarily mobile work involving rounds and direct contact with staff, patients, and visitors.
- Requires walking, standing, bending, and lifting in a fast-paced setting with PPE usage as per infection control policies.
- Serves patients of all age groups; access to patient information at Level 4 under HIPAA.
