Missouri Baptist Medical Center Women's Outpatient Center (WOC) — work in pre/post, outpatient recovery, and OR WOC procedural area (circulating and scrubbing) for minor GYN procedures.

Schedule

  • 4×9-hour shifts (0600–1530)
  • No call, weekends, or major holidays

Requirements

  • BLS/ACLS required
  • Operating Room experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of nursing-care standards.
  • Promotes patient- and family-centered care in a healing environment.
  • Educates patients and families on managing illness or injury, including post-treatment home care and medication administration.
  • Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Participates in professional development.
  • Develops, implements, and documents individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team, patient, family, or caregiver.
  • Proactively plans and ensures communication of the plan of care across the continuum of care.
  • Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care.
  • Assesses patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care, including values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population-specific needs.

BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s in Nursing
  • No prior experience required
  • No supervisory experience required
  • Licenses & Certifications: RN

Preferred Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
