Clinical Nurse Supervisor - Intensive Care Unit (Full Time, Night)
About the role
The Clinical Nurse Supervisor in the Intensive Care Unit at NorthBay Health is a transformational leader responsible for delivering safe, effective, and excellent nursing care. This position functions as the first-line shift supervisor for the unit and adheres to the organization's philosophy and goals.
Responsibilities
- Delivers safe, effective, and excellent nursing care according to the organization's philosophy and goals.
- Utilizes Jean Watson’s Theory of Caring, Relationship-Based Care, and NorthBay’s professional nursing practice model.
- Supports the mission, vision, values, and expectations of excellence of the organization.
- Learns and delegates care to other health care personnel consistent with their scope of practice, job description, and competency.
- Works under the supervision of the Clinical Manager.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional registered nursing.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in nursing required (grandfathered employees are exempt).
- Valid and current RN license by the State of California.
- Current AHA or AHA equivalent BLS.
- American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS certification required.
- National certification in specialty area preferred.
- Three years of acute care experience in area of specialty required.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Proficient written, verbal, and electronic communication skills.

Compensation Structure
NorthBay Health uses a structured compensation framework. Staff-level positions use a step-based system (Steps 1–5) based on years of directly related experience, with Step 5 representing 20 or more years of experience in the role. Manager level and above positions are paid a fixed annual base salary and are eligible for a variable incentive compensation plan. Physician compensation is structured based on specialty and role requirements.
