Clinical Nurse - Pediatric ER, Part Time

About the role

Provides direct patient care in a pediatric trauma emergency department, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care. Promotes patient- and family-centered care, educating families on managing illnesses, medication administration, and post-discharge needs. Participates in safety, quality, and regulatory activities, and collaborates with the healthcare team to develop and communicate individualized care plans. Uses critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences, cultural, and spiritual considerations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a healing environment through patient education and safety initiatives.
• Develop and document care plans with clear goals, coordinating care across providers and with families.
• Assess patient needs holistically, considering emotional, cultural, and population-specific factors.
• Maintain compliance with standards of nursing practice and participate in professional development.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in pediatric emergency or acute care is preferred but not mandatory.
