Clinical Nurse - PACU Weekend Option

About the role

Provides direct patient care in a fast-paced PACU environment, supporting recovery for neuro, transplant, ortho, ENT, cardiac, vascular, thoracic, trauma, and spine patients. The role involves assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care within established standards, promoting patient and family-centered care, education, and safety. Nurses collaborate with interprofessional teams to develop and communicate individualized care plans, considering physical, psychosocial, emotional, spiritual, and cultural needs. Critical thinking, clinical judgment, and adherence to safety protocols are essential.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
• Participate in activities that enhance patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop, implement, and document personalized care plans with clear goals, ensuring effective communication across care settings.
• Assess patient needs holistically, addressing preferences, barriers, and values.
• Maintain safety-sensitive standards by working alertly and securely.

Qualifications

• Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree; Bachelor's preferred.
• Licenses & Certifications: Valid RN license.
• Experience: No prior experience required; 2+ years and supervisory experience are preferred.
• Skills: Critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and adaptability in complex surgical and critical care settings.
