Clinical Nurse - Operating Room Trauma

About the role

This position involves providing direct patient care in a fast-paced, high-acuity surgical environment, focusing on acute critical care and trauma cases across multiple operating rooms. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, educating patients and families, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met. The role emphasizes teamwork, communication, and adherence to nursing standards while promoting a healing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs of patients.
• Develop, document, and communicate care plans collaboratively.
• Educate patients and families on post-treatment care and medications.
• Participate in safety, quality, and regulatory activities.
• Maintain professionalism and adhere to hospital values of kindness, safety, excellence, respect, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• RN license required; BSN preferred, considering AD‑N candidates.
• Experience in OR nursing and familiarity with surgical procedures preferred.
• Ability to work in a team, demonstrate critical thinking, and adapt to a dynamic environment.
• Willingness to participate in a comprehensive orientation and scrub and circulate during surgeries.
• Commitment to safety and continuous professional development.

Schedule

• Self‑scheduling for night shifts (3/12‑hour shifts, Monday‑Friday).
