Clinical Nurse GYN Onc

Role Overview Provides direct patient care in a specialized 30-bed unit focusing on female health issues, primarily GYN Oncology, including chemotherapy, surgery, radiation, symptom management, pain control, palliative, and hospice care. The role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care within established standards, promoting patient and family-centered care, and educating on illness management and post-treatment needs. Key Responsibilities Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, patients, and families.Uses critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences, cultural, spiritual, and population-specific factors.Participates in activities enhancing patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while engaging in professional development. Qualifications & Skills Required: BSN or ADN, RN license, and the ability to work safely and alertly in a safety-sensitive environment.Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing and at least 2 years of experience. Additional Information This role involves moderate to high acuity care with complex interventions, requiring teamwork from oncology-trained nurses, advanced practice nurses, case managers, social workers, pharmacists, and physicians. The position emphasizes patient education, safety, and communication across care continuum.
