Clinical Nurse GYN ONC

Role Overview

Provides direct patient care in a specialized 30-bed unit focusing on female-related health issues, primarily GYN Oncology, including chemotherapy, surgery, radiation, symptom and pain management, palliative, and hospice care. Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-acuity, complex interventions while promoting patient safety and education.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care according to nursing standards.
• Educate patients and families on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication use.
• Develop and document individualized care plans, ensuring effective communication across care teams.
• Evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences and barriers.
• Participate in activities that enhance safety, quality, and professional development.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate's Degree; RN license required.
• PREFERRED: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and less than 2 years of experience.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and patient-centered care skills.
• Ability to work safely and remain alert in a safety-sensitive environment.
