Clinical Nurse Educator MS

About the role

Responsible for assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing and evaluating educational activities for professionals and paraprofessionals in the direct patient care environment on various shifts as appropriate to meet the needs of the staff and organization. Participates in education related to system-wide activities and clinical programs throughout Kaleida Health. Consults and makes recommendations related to educational needs, competencies, and activities to other departments.

Qualifications

• Current NYS registration as a Registered Professional Nurse
• American Heart Association-Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire and must be maintained thereafter
• RNs hired prior to 7/1/2017 have until January 6, 2020 to obtain American Heart Association-BLS certification which must be maintained thereafter
• Existing WCHOB RNs must acquire BLS certification as part of the training and orientation to OCH
• Masters degree in Nursing or Education required

Experience

• Minimum of two (2) years experience in the clinical area(s) related to the position (LTC) required
• Previous teaching experience preferred

Pay

Salary Range: $63.15-$78.29 per hour*

*Wage will be determined based on factors such as candidate's experience, qualifications, internal equity, and any applicable collective bargaining agreement.
