Clinical Nurse Educator - Full Time

Description Of Position The Clinical Nurse Educator provides a variety of teaching for staff, patients, families and the community. The focus areas are staff education, patient/family education, and community education. SUPERVISION: Reports directly to the Practice Manager Responsibilities And Duties Coordinates and participates in the orientation process of new employees.Coordinates and maintains patient/family/staff education programs.Coordinates and participates in community/screening programs.Communicates with other departments/disciplines in providing quality care to patients and/or family.Develops and revises policies and procedures for Patient Care Services. Education And Work Experience BSN preferred, MSN accepted.Must have 3 years psychiatric nurse experience.Current RN License in Louisiana or multi-state compact license.Must be adaptable to change, be decisive, and demonstrate foresight.Exhibits organizational and leadership ability.Ability to communicate with patient, family, peers and medical personnel Physical Demands/Work Environment Work requires a variety of physical activities such as standing, walking, bending, stooping or sitting for long periods of time.
