About the role
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures high-quality, patient-centered care on the Med Surg unit during their shift. They collaborate with management to monitor and evaluate nursing services, serve as a resource for staff, and support the organization’s mission and values to enhance patient outcomes and departmental performance. The role requires a commitment to clinical excellence, teamwork, and continuous learning. Responsibilities
- Assist with admission, discharge, and patient throughput processes.
- Participate in ongoing quality assessment of patient care services.
- Foster teamwork and support a patient-first philosophy, engaging in service recovery when needed.
- Support staff recruitment, training, scheduling, and conflict resolution.
- Manage supplies, equipment, and inventory control.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (or enrollment in a program to obtain one within 5 years); master’s preferred.
- Current RN licensure and BLS certification.
- Experience in nursing; exemptions available for seasoned RNs.
