Clinical Nurse Coordinator - Med-Surg

Role Overview: The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures high-quality, patient-centered care on a Med Surg unit by supervising nursing staff, facilitating admissions and discharges, and evaluating care quality. They collaborate with management to create a teamwork-oriented environment, support patient-first initiatives, and assist with staff scheduling, training, and resource management. Key Responsibilities Coordinate nursing functions during shifts, ensuring efficient patient throughput and care delivery.Participate in quality assessments and support service improvement initiatives.Assist in staff hiring, training, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution.Manage staff schedules, supplies, and equipment to optimize unit operations.Support a positive work environment and patient experience through engagement strategies. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor of Science in Nursing (or enrolled in a program to obtain one within 5 years); Master’s preferred.Current RN licensure with the North Carolina Board of Nursing; BLS certification.Experience in nursing leadership or coordination preferred.Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
