Clinical Nurse - BMT Oncology PCU

Role Overview This position involves providing direct patient care in a specialized oncology setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care within established standards. The role emphasizes promoting patient and family-centered care, educating patients on illness management and medication, and ensuring safety and quality compliance. Responsibilities include developing and documenting individualized care plans, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, and assessing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient values and cultural considerations. Qualifications & Skills Licensed RN with a Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree; Bachelor's preferredExperience not required, but 2+ years of nursing experience is advantageousStrong critical thinking, communication, and patient education skillsAbility to work safely and effectively in a high-acuity environmentCertification as an RN is required Key Duties Provide comprehensive nursing care for moderate to high acuity patients, including chemotherapy, transfusions, and supportive therapiesParticipate in professional development and quality improvement activitiesSupport patient safety initiatives and adhere to regulatory standardsEducate patients and families on post-treatment care and medication managementWork collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
