About the Role

This position involves providing direct patient care in a high-acuity oncology unit, specializing in leukemia and stem cell transplant treatments. The role requires strong critical nursing skills, cultural competence, and the ability to communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team. It emphasizes education on illness management, medication administration, and post-treatment care.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
• Promote patient and family-centered care
• Ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance
• Provide education to patients and families about illness management and home care
• Participate in quality improvement and professional activities

Requirements

• RN license with a Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree (Bachelor's preferred)
• No prior experience required, but less than 2 years preferred
• Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment with alertness and professionalism
