About the Role
This position involves providing direct patient care within a pediatric behavioral health setting, focusing on assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualized care plans. The RN will support the Behavioral Assessment Response Team (BART), offering education on escalation prevention, updating behavioral plans, and responding to CPI events. The role emphasizes promoting patient and family-centered care, ensuring safety, and collaborating with the healthcare team.
Responsibilities
- Educating patients and families on illness management and post-treatment care.
- Participating in safety, quality, and compliance activities.
- Assessing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural values.
- Developing and communicating comprehensive care plans.
- Maintaining a safe working environment as this is a safety-sensitive position.
Requirements
- RN license required.
- Minimum of 2 years of behavioral health RN experience preferred.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing and CPI training.
- Pediatric experience is a plus.
