About the Role
Provides specialized nursing care as part of the Behavioral Assessment Response Team (BART) at a leading children's hospital.
Responsibilities
- Responds to behavioral health needs across the hospital, including escalation prevention and behavioral plan reviews.
- Educates staff on behavioral escalation management and supports patient safety initiatives.
- Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
- Assesses physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences and barriers to involvement.
- Participates in professional development and ensures compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of pediatric or behavioral health RN experience.
- Active RN license; CPI training preferred.
- Preferred bachelor's degree in nursing.
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment with alertness and professionalism.
Schedule
Full-time role with rotating weekends and holidays, 36 hours per week.
