Clinical Manager - Sports Medicine & Athletic Training

About the role

Emplify Health by Gundersen Health System is seeking a dynamic and collaborative Clinical Manager to lead operations within Sports Medicine & Athletic Training in Onalaska, WI. This role offers the opportunity to manage high-performing teams and support strategic growth across several subspecialties.

Responsibilities

• Provide management and clinical expertise to the Outreach Athletic Trainers and oversee the delivery of specialized clinical services throughout Sports Medicine.
• Oversee a team of approximately 27 direct reports, including Athletic Trainers, Medical Assistants, Registered Nurses, and Department Secretary.
• Collaborate closely with fellow Clinic Managers, Clinical Operations Director, and Medical Director to achieve unit goals.
• Ensure smooth day-to-day operations, staff development, and high-quality patient care.
• Participate in strategic planning and change facilitation, including competency development and cross-coverage coordination.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field
• 5-7 years of clinical or equivalent healthcare experience demonstrating leadership skills

Qualifications (Desired)

• Bachelor's degree in a field of study related to clinical specialty
• 1 year of management experience
