About the role
Piedmont Health Senior Care offers the Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) to enhance the lives of seniors in the community. The program helps seniors maintain independence and live at home for as long as possible by providing comprehensive, personalized healthcare and related services tailored to individual needs and goals.
Responsibilities
- Manages the flow of clinic and day center care provided by nursing assistants.
- Provides direct patient care and collaborates with PACE Primary Care Providers to ensure clinical support processes are thorough and reliable.
- Ensures high quality care and services are provided within the day center.
- Aids in providing education and training to participants, caregivers, families, and staff; and communicates participant’s condition to caregivers, primary care, and the interdisciplinary team.
- Directly supervises and oversees all responsibilities for clinic staff and certified nursing assistants, including coaching, leading, managing, clinical education, training/observations, reporting requirements, and competency evaluation.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required. Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
- At least 5 years of managerial or supervisory experience. Ambulatory clinic experience, home care or long-term care setting or PACE experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, group facilitation, and consensus-building skills.
- Nursing assessment skills and understanding of appropriate clinical practice.
- IV skill proficiency.
- Proven clinical leadership and management skills, including the ability to learn, teach, research, develop, and implement policies and procedures or projects as needed independently.
- The ability to prioritize, multitask duties within the role as well as problem solve and think analytically/critically.
- The ability to effectively handle difficult and unusual interpersonal situations.
- Broad knowledge base of nursing clinical practice.
- Teamwork and fostering team cohesiveness.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Must meet a standardized set of competencies established by Piedmont Health SeniorCare and approved by CMS before working independently.
- Supervises Nurse Care Managers, Home Care Coordinators, Medical Assistants, and Certified Nursing Assistants.
- Licensure, Registry, or Certification Required: RN currently licensed in NC; Presents credentials which demonstrate ability to meet performance criteria for the RN position; Valid NC driver’s license.

Pay
$76,424 - $102,707 (commensurate with years of experience)
