About the role

The Clinical Manager oversees, supervises, and manages faculty and students assigned to clinical sites. Responsibilities include making phone or on-site visits, mediating conflicts, establishing specific learning objectives, recording attendance, and supervising clinical affiliations to ensure expertise and performance meet satisfactory levels. The role provides professional leadership and support for clinical teaching faculty, serving as a mentor and facilitator while fostering an environment of creativity, responsiveness, and self-responsibility. The Clinical Manager ensures students are current on vaccinations, assigns clinical sites, and maintains records in compliance with college and Surgical Technology program policies.

Responsibilities

  • Collects and maintains documentation related to clinical education, such as health forms, CPR certification, student evaluations, and site evaluations.
  • Plans and coordinates faculty and students' clinical site orientations and Live Scan appointments.
  • Plans, coordinates, and manages faculty and students' assignments to clinical facilities.
  • Identifies clinical sites that support student clinical requirements.
  • Maintains an accurate clinical site information database, including contact information and contractual agreement termination and expiration dates.
  • Participates in school activities such as student functions, graduation exercises, open houses, new student orientations, and advisory board meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited academic institution.
  • Certification and registration in Nuclear Medicine Technology from a national certification board.
  • CPR Certification.
  • Minimum of two (2) years post-certification nuclear medicine technology experience.

Skills

  • Ability to demonstrate bilingual skills is a plus but not required.
