A Brief Overview

Responsible for the clinical compliance and quality of the Mobile ICU and Basic Life Support Departments through education and quality assurance. May occasionally staff a paramedic or BLS vehicle, and be put on special assignment. Assists the Director as needed with the operational functions of the department.

What You Will Do

  • Clinical Oversight & Standards - Reviews charts, telemetry, and field performance to ensure regulatory and clinical compliance with hands on clinical involvement when needed
  • Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement - Identifies opportunities for improvement; participates in hospital QA committees; supports smooth transition from field to EDDepartment
  • Department Education & Training - Develops and coordinates staff training, competencies, onboarding, and continuing education; facilitates EMS–hospital cross-training
  • Credentialing & Compliance - Tracks staff licenses and certifications; facilitates renewals and regulatory compliance
  • Academic & Student Programs - Coordinates paramedic student sponsorships; liaises with paramedic education programs; represents department on clinical education committees
  • Leadership & Supervision - Supervises department operations in absence of Director; supports staff across educational and programmatic roles
  • Staffing & Scheduling - supports director in staff scheduling
  • Community Outreach & Public Relations - Provides community education; represents hospital in communities served; collaborates with external agencies
  • Mobile Integrated Health (MIH) Program - Develops, implements, and oversees MIH program; supervises community paramedics
  • Data, Metrics & Reporting - Uses program data to evaluate MIH effectiveness and system performance
  • Financial & Resource Management - supports the director in fiscal management
  • Safety, Equipment & Environment - Supports system integration and operational readiness
  • Professional Development & Representation - Represents hospital in professional and trade organizations; serves on committees

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree EMS, Healthcare, education, or related field required

Experience Qualifications

  • 5+ years previous work related experience and/or teaching experience required

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Licenses and Certifications:
    • PARAMEDIC - Paramedic – Licensed Valid New Jersey Mobile Intensive Care Paramedic Certification upon hire required
    • BCLS - Basic Life Support upon hire required
    • ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire required
    • PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support upon hire required
    • ICS 100, ICS 200, ICS 700 upon hire required
    • CPR Instructor upon hire required
    • Certification in BTLS or PHTLS and NREMT-P upon hire preferred

Pay Range

$115,000 - $138,000
