About the role

The Clinical Services Supervisor oversees the clinical team, supports staff development, and ensures high-quality client care. This role provides direct client services, including individual and group therapy, assessments, treatment planning, and crisis response. The supervisor also supports program operations through chart audits, compliance activities, staff training, and clinical program development to ensure services meet program standards.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, assign, schedule, and supervise the work of assigned staff, including participating in hiring and performance management.
  • Provide training, coaching, mentoring, and professional development; address performance and conflict issues as needed.
  • Deliver mental health and substance use disorder treatment consistent with organizational philosophy and approved practices.
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy services.
  • Assess and monitor client progress and participate in treatment and aftercare planning with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Coordinate care with outside agencies and community partners.
  • Respond to clinical emergencies and urgent client needs.
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation in the electronic health record.
  • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as a clinical resource and support staff.
  • Review charts for quality, completeness, and compliance with standards of care.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and recommend improvements to policies, procedures, and services.
  • Provide coverage as needed and participate in the on-call rotation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Maintain a license as a mental health professional regulated by the state board (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC).
  • Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or other related field, or a combination of education and/or two or more years of experience in drug and alcohol counseling.
  • Certified in CPR/First Aid (within 30 days of hire).

Pay

The posted pay range is $135,000 - $150,000 per year. This is a reasonable estimate based on circumstances at the time of posting. Pay may vary depending on internal equity, experience, specialty, training, hours/shifts worked, business need, and education.

Schedule

Full-time: Tuesday–Saturday.
