Bristol Dental School is appointing Clinical Lecturers in Restorative Dentistry, Paediatric Dentistry, and Urgent Dental Care. This is an opportunity to join the School in its brand-new clinical facility.
About the role
The role holders will contribute to teaching on clinical programmes, patient assessment, and treatment on Restorative Dentistry, Paediatric Dentistry, and Urgent Dental Care (UDC) clinics. There are also opportunities to engage with other academic duties and professional development.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to teaching and clinical supervision of students.
- Participate in patient assessment and treatment on Restorative Dentistry, Paediatric Dentistry, and UDC clinics.
- Engage with additional academic duties and development opportunities.
Requirements
- Fully registered with the General Dental Council.
- Hold a BDS or equivalent qualification.
- Significant experience in general dental practice.
- Well-organized, enthusiastic, with a keen interest in general dental practice and high-quality integrated teaching.
Schedule
The following contracted days are available (AM/PM):
- Monday: 1x Restorative (AM), 1x Urgent Dental Care (PM)
- Tuesday: 2x Restorative
- Wednesday: 1x Restorative (AM)
- Thursday: 1x Restorative (AM), 1x Paediatrics (PM)
- Friday: 1x Paediatrics
Shift pattern: 1x 8 hours per week and 1x 24 hours per week.
Pay
Salary: £46,675 - £85,796 per annum (pro rata).
Contract
- Restorative and UDC: Fixed-term contract until 31 August 2027.
- Paediatrics: Fixed-term contract until 11 April 2027.
Work pattern: Part-time.
