About the role
Bristol Dental School is appointing Clinical Lecturers in Restorative Dentistry, Paediatric Dentistry, and Urgent Dental Care. This is an opportunity to join the School in its brand-new clinical facility. The role holders will contribute to teaching on clinical programmes, patient assessment, and treatment across Restorative Dentistry, Paediatric Dentistry, and Urgent Dental Care (UDC) clinics, with additional opportunities for academic duties and development.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to teaching and clinical supervision of students.
- Participate in patient assessment and treatment on Restorative Dentistry, Paediatric Dentistry, and Urgent Dental Care clinics.
- Engage with other academic duties and professional development.
Requirements
- Fully registered with the General Dental Council.
- Hold a BDS or equivalent qualification.
- Significant experience in general dental practice.
- Enthusiasm for delivering high-quality integrated teaching.
- Strong organisational skills and a keen interest in general dental practice.
Schedule
The following contracted days and clinic assignments are available:
- Monday: AM – 1x Restorative, PM – 1x Urgent Dental Care
- Tuesday: 2x Restorative
- Wednesday: AM – 1x Restorative, PM – 1x Paediatrics
- Thursday: AM – 1x Restorative, PM – 1x Paediatrics
Shift patterns: 1x 8 hours per week and 1x 24 hours per week.
Contract Details
- Restorative and Urgent Dental Care: Fixed-term contract until 31 August 2027.
- Paediatrics: Fixed-term contract until 11 April 2027.
Work pattern: Part-time.
Pay
Salary: £46,675 - £85,796 per annum (pro rata).
