About the Role

Performs a wide variety of laboratory tests by manual methods or use of various automated, mechanical, or electronic devices. Performs the full range of duties from specimen procurement through data analysis and reporting, in order to provide data for use in the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of disease in all areas of the lab. Is accountable for accurate results.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests using manual methods or automated devices
• Conduct specimen procurement, data analysis, and reporting
• Provide accurate data for detection, diagnosis, and treatment of disease
• Demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
• Work variable shifts and overtime as required
• Testify in court regarding testing activities if subpoenaed
• Maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Requirements

• Current California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) License
• Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Pay

USD $59.43/Hr. – $86.55/Hr.
