Clinical Faculty - Redwood City Navigation Center

Location: San Francisco

Part-time position, up to 2 days per week, 40 weeks per year.

About the role

The Department of Diagnostic Sciences at the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, seeks a part-time teacher-clinician. The department provides education within the dental school pre-doctoral curriculum, including integrated classroom and clinical blocks, as well as supervision of students in the radiology clinic and other clinical services, including those at the Navigation Center. Faculty engage in teaching, scholarship, and service. The successful candidate will supervise clinical student learning experiences in the discipline.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setting standards of care for the Dugoni School of Dentistry student clinic and participate in faculty and staff development.
• Participate in mandatory faculty calibration and development in clinical areas.
• Supervise students and staff on-site at the Redwood City Navigation Center.
• Provide specialty services and supervise students in areas such as oral surgery, endodontics, or dental hygiene.
• Engage in school, university, professional, and community service opportunities.
• Uphold the culture of humanism and collaboration at the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry.
