Primary Purpose
Contributes to student success by monitoring and coordinating the assigned aspects of the clinical division for the Department of Anesthesia. Acts as liaison with various community entities, internal and external departments, and internal and external customers while providing the most advantageous customer services to students and other constituents.

Essential Job Functions

Plans, directs, supervises, and coordinates work activities of subordinates and staff, including hiring, coaching, evaluating, and terminating.

Consults with government regulatory and licensing agencies to ensure the institution's conformance with applicable standards.

Collaborates with department leadership to secure clinical affiliation agreements and maintain renewals with training sites.

Ensures compliance with medical liability, HRSA, HIPPA, and other regulations.

Represents institution and/or assigned program(s) at community and campus events, in meetings with other institution personnel, and during accreditation processes as needed.

Affords assistance in activities required for program accreditation.

Directs all aspects of student on-boarding and credentialing processes for active hospital systems which includes planning, tracking, and executing deadlines and compliance standards.

Reviews clinical operating practices and procedures to determine whether improvements can be made in areas such as workflow, reporting procedures, or expenditures.

Affirms clinical program quality, presents results, and makes recommendations to management as needed.

Maintains accurate and complete student records as required by laws, policies, and administrative regulations.

Works with third party portal companies to set up students in portals. This includes yearly payment and credentialing clearance for the students.

Participates in budget preparation and reporting for assigned program(s) as needed.

Prepares special ad hoc reports / summaries by selecting relevant information from a variety of sources and designed to satisfy inquiries.

Maintains oversight of student compliance with all NSU policies, immunizations, background checks, HIPPA training, and drug screenings.

Acts as liaison between students, faculty, college, and university departments.

Directs the planning and execution of clinical orientation for new program students and ensures students are cleared for clinical rotations.

Counsels students regarding clinical educational issues. May conduct exit interviews for student withdrawals.

Oversees clinical software and provides training to students, faculty, and staff.

Composes, edits, and reviews CANVAS Clinical Resources online information.

Collaborates with department leadership to compose, edit, publish, and continually review information in the Clinical Year Handbook.

Attends meetings, educational conferences, training workshops, and serves on committees.

Maintains data integrity and confidentiality.

Completes special projects as assigned.

Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Administration and Management - General knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, budgeting, human resources modeling, leadership technique, and/or coordination of people and resources.

Personnel and Human Resources - General knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, and personnel information systems.

Customer and Personal Service - Thorough knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of user satisfaction.

English Language - Thorough knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

Education and Training - General knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.

Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Required Education: Master's Degree Major (if Required)

Required Experience: Five (5) or more years of experience in academic program management or related student service function.
