Clinical Coordinator, RN - WC ECC
About the role
The Clinical Coordinator, RN provides oversight during the assigned shift for clinical and non-clinical staff in administering excellent patient care and customer service. This position assumes clinical responsibility for the specialty by providing orientation, teaching, clinical supervision, and evaluation of personnel. The Clinical Coordinator supports medical care of patients under the direction of the Medical Staff and may also act as Nursing/House Supervisor while on duty at the Wharton campus.
Responsibilities
- Oversee clinical and non-clinical staff during assigned shifts to ensure excellent patient care and customer service.
- Provide orientation, teaching, clinical supervision, and evaluation of personnel in the specialty area.
- Support medical care of patients under the direction of the Medical Staff.
- Act as Nursing/House Supervisor at the Wharton campus when required.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing program (BSN preferred).
- One year of clinical experience in the specialty required.
- One year of experience as a Clinical Coordinator or Charge Nurse preferred.
- Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse.
- American Heart Association BLS certification required.
- Advance Cardiac Life Support, PALS, or ENPC certification within 6 months of employment.
- TNCC certification within 18 months of hire and remain current in these certifications.
