Clinical Coordinator of Respiratory Care
About the role
The Clinical Coordinator of Respiratory Care plays a crucial role in the Respiratory Therapy department at CHI St Alexius Bismarck. This position involves providing skilled respiratory therapy interventions, developing care plans, performing diagnostic evaluations, educating patients and families, and acting as a safety liaison.
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled respiratory therapy interventions as ordered by a licensed physician, across all age groups (infant to geriatric)
- Utilize respiratory therapy protocols to develop therapeutic goals and formulate individualized care plans
- Perform diagnostic evaluations, assess and manage cardiopulmonary conditions, and act as a physician extender
- Educate patients and families on conditions, disease management techniques, medications, and equipment use
- Budget and policy review
- Act as a Safety Liaison for the Respiratory Therapy departments
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited/AMA certified School of Respiratory Therapy with a Bachelors of Science in Respiratory Therapy
- Licensed with the North Dakota Board of Respiratory Care
- CPR (BLS) certification current upon hire OR to be completed within 14 days of hire
Qualifications
Qualified candidates should demonstrate strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for patient care. Experience in respiratory therapy is preferred but not required.
Skills
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are beneficial.

Pay
The posted compensation range is $31.11 - $42.78/hour, reflecting the company's belief in offering fair compensation aligned with market standards.
Schedule
The Clinical Coordinator of Respiratory Care works full-time, 80 hours per pay period, with a weekly schedule of 6-2:30 and a shift of Day. The position requires 10% travel.
