Clinical Coordinator - Diagnostic Medical Sonography
About the role
The Clinical Coordinator will oversee and coordinate clinical education, ensure compliance with accreditation standards, build and strengthen clinical partnerships, and provide effective instruction in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings.
Responsibilities
- Development, coordination, and maintenance of clinical rotation schedules
- Frequent communication with clinical affiliates, preceptors and site supervisors to monitor student progress and clinical site effectiveness
- Evaluation of clinical competency and facilitation of student remediation
- Instructional delivery in didactic, laboratory, and clinical settings
- Auxiliary work in preparing accreditation documents for initial and continuing accreditation of the program
Requirements
- Associate degree required; bachelor’s preferred
- Active credentials in at least one concentration offered within the program (Abdomen, OB/Gyn, Vascular, Cardiac); multiple credentials preferred
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience as a registered sonographer
- Documented experience in instruction, supervision, evaluation, and student guidance
- Teaching experience preferred
Qualifications
