About the role
The Clinical Case Manager operates the Supervised Release Program in Queens Criminal Court. This role involves screening targeted defendants for release, conducting assessments, and providing supervision and referrals to participants.
Responsibilities
- Reviewing and explaining the conditions of release, program agreements, and consents for disclosure
- Conducting intake/assessment interviews to identify participants' needs, including administering assessment tools for mental health and substance abuse
- Maintaining caseloads of high-risk/high-needs participants, providing supervision, and making referrals to social services
- Maintaining contact with participants, monitoring re-arrests, and preparing progress reports
- Maintaining communication with defense attorneys and referral agencies
- Updating case management records and producing reports on participant compliance
- Completing necessary documentation and meeting data reporting requirements
- Participating in staff meetings and ongoing trainings, identifying opportunities for staff development
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field with at least 3 years of relevant experience
- Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) preferred
- Familiarity with alternative to detention (ATD) or similar advocacy program models
- Working knowledge of treatment programs and support services for referrals
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Computer literacy with ability to adapt to changing technology
- Bilingual skills preferred, Spanish a plus
- Willingness to work evening and weekend hours, if needed
- CASAC or CASCT certification encouraged

Pay and Schedule
- $73,778.82 - $77,643.68 annually
- Monday-Friday from 9AM-5PM, one day remote
Schedule
This position requires evening and weekend availability.
