Responsibilities
- Promote optimal outcomes for burn patients
- Reduce readmissions
- Provide patient and staff education to optimize patient outcomes
- Facilitate reduction in the length of stay
- Ensure adherence to care standards from admission to discharge
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing required
- Three years related nursing experience in specialty area
- Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state
- Certification as a generalist in a related specialty area by the American Nurses Association (ANA), if required
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification
Qualifications
Knowledge of burn standards from the American Burn Association.
Skills
Nursing skills, patient education, coordination, and compliance with healthcare standards.
