Clinical Assistant (RMA/CMA/LPN/ATC/EMT)- Fort Mill

About the role

OrthoCarolina is seeking a full-time Clinical Assistant in their Fort Mill Orthopedic office location. The ideal candidate will provide and coordinate orthopedic patient care, perform routine office procedures, participate in patient teaching, and communicate effectively with others.

Responsibilities

• Updating clinical notes in electronic medical systems
• Completing phone triage
• Casting and bracing
• Performing routine office procedures
• Providing patient education

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited program for medical assistants, athletic training, or nursing.
• Or experience plus certification.

Qualifications

• High School diploma (Required)
• CPR certification
• Certification as a CMA/RMA from one of the following national organizations: AAMA, NHA, ARMA, AMT, or AMCA
• EMTs must have Emergency Medical Technician certification
• ATCs must be board certified as Athletic Trainers

Skills

• Knowledge of EMR (Epic)
• Ability to triage patient telephone calls
• Ability to educate patients, families, and staff regarding patient care needs
• Effective communication skills
