Clinical Assistant (CMA/RMA/EMT/ATC/LPN)- Hickory

About the role

The Clinical Assistant at OrthoCarolina is a full-time position based in Hickory, working Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The primary responsibility is to provide and coordinate orthopedic patient care, including performing routine office procedures and tests, patient teaching, and effective communication with patients, physicians, and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Updating clinical notes in electronic medical systems
• Completing phone triage
• Casting and bracing
• Performing routine office procedures
• Providing patient education

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited program for medical assistants, athletic training, nursing, or a related field
• Or experience plus certification

Qualifications

• Knowledge of EMR (Epic)
• Ability to triage patient telephone calls
• Ability to educate patients, families, and staff on patient care needs
• Effective communication skills
• CMA/RMA certification through AAMA, NHA, ARMA, AMT, or AMCA
• EMT certification for EMTs
• Athletic Trainer certification for ATCs
