Clinical Assistant Professor - Periodontics

Minimum Qualifications

• Knowledge of: Dental school generalist teaching model, integrated interprofessional care, and competency-based education and assessment methodology.
• Accepted non-surgical and surgical protocols for the periodontal management of patients.
• Computer software to include World, Excel, AxiUm and PowerPoint.
• Experience: Minimum two years teaching experience in an accredited dental school setting.
• Minimum of five years’ practice experience.
• Education: DDS / DMD or equivalent.
• Certificate of Proficiency in Periodontics from a recognized U.S. post-doctoral program.
• Valid CPR certificate.

Working Conditions

• Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens may be reasonably anticipated.
• Personal protective equipment is expected to be utilized.
• Position requires coordination of a variety of duties in occasionally stressful non-clinical and clinical situations.
• Requires occasional attendance at weekend/evening events and meetings.
