Clinical Assistant - Critical Care Intermediary Unit
About the role
The Clinical Assistant position at Straub Benioff Medical Center is part of a team dedicated to providing exceptional health care services in Honolulu and throughout the state of Hawai'i. Straub is known for its multidisciplinary approach, including a specialized burn treatment center and a Critical Care Intermediary Unit (CCIU) that focuses on cardiovascular patients and intensive care unit (ICU) step-down patients.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of nursing and health care procedures
- Contribute to the delivery of high-quality health care services
- Collaborate with the Burn Unit to support critical burn patients
- Provide therapeutic nursing care for patients with acute or chronic conditions
- Assist with clerical tasks as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Nurse aide course completion with certification OR nursing fundamentals completion
- Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card
- One year of clinical experience OR successful completion of HPH Nurse Aide Program
- Current Hawaii Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate
- One year clerical experience in a healthcare setting
