About the role
The Midwestern University College of Veterinary Medicine invites applications for a clinical track faculty position in small animal urgent care. The position offers the opportunity to influence the next generation of veterinarians by providing outstanding clinical services and student education.
Responsibilities
- Provide coverage for daytime and after-hours emergencies through a rotational schedule
- Join a team of four full-time clinicians in the Companion Animal Clinic (CAC)
- Offer expertise across a broad range of specialties in state-of-the-art facilities
- Train day-one ready, competent, and confident veterinarians
- Engage in collaborative case management
- Contribute to the educational experience of veterinary students through interactive learning
Requirements
- DVM or equivalent degree
- AZ veterinary license eligibility
- Minimum 1 year of experience in small animal emergency practice or equivalent (e.g., internship)
- Excellence in clinical communication
- Commitment to quality, compassionate, patient-centered care
- Broad skills in standard emergency practice-level medical and surgical care of dogs and cats
Qualifications
- Commitment to scholarly activity (optional but encouraged)
- Interest and experience in research (optional but considered an asset)
