About the role
Community Health Alliance is seeking a Part Time Clinical Assistant to provide individual and group counseling in outpatient and residential substance use disorder treatment settings.
Responsibilities
- Performs individual and group counseling under supervision of licensed staff.
- Facilitates educational and skill-based groups.
- Participates in care coordination activities with treatment team members.
- Utilizes a trauma-informed approach to client care.
- Maintains accurate, complete, concise and timely documentation in the electronic medical record in accordance with agency policy and regulatory standards.
- Makes sure clients are engaged in daily programming and services.
- Monitors client self-administration of medication as needed.
- Communicates key information timely to treatment team members to aid in the determination of client progress and treatment intervention needs.
- Aids in crisis situations by assisting clients and securing appropriate clinical resources.
- Maintains accurate, complete, concise and timely documentation in the electronic medical record in accordance with agency policy and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- State of Ohio Chemical Dependent Counselor Assistant (CDC-A).
- Minimum of an Associates degree in social work, psychology or related field. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Prior work experience or internship experience working in behavioral health preferably providing counseling services.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications, including Office Suite, Outlook and Teams.
- Adept at learning and navigating electronic health record systems.
Qualifications

Pay
$20-$25 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
Saturday and Sunday, 8am-4pm.
