Position Summary The Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology program at MSU Denver is seeking a clinical administrator to assist with operations of the Bookhardt Family Speech-Language Clinic. The clinical administrator will report directly to the director of clinical education. This is a 12 month, part-time (20 hours per week) benefits eligible position with the possibility of converting to full time in the future. This is an in-person client facing role; some remote work is possible at the discretion of the director of clinical education. The Bookhardt Clinic is open on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The Bookhardt Family Speech-Language Clinic at MSU Denver is an important part of the University’s graduate program in speech-language pathology. In our clinic, graduate students provide services under the direct supervision and guidance of licensed and certified speech-language pathologists (SLPs). Our clinic is open to members of the greater Colorado community and serves individuals of all ages. All our services are available in English, Spanish, or through a bilingual approach using English and Spanish simultaneously. Our on-campus clinic is located on the first floor of the Central Classroom Building. The Auraria Campus is just west of Speer Blvd and downtown Denver. Services are offered free of charge. We aim to expand access to services and decrease health disparities in the greater Denver community and beyond. Responsibilities Clinic and Client Facing Duties Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective clients, responding to phone and email inquiries in a timely, professional, and welcoming manner.Manage and coordinate patient referrals, appointments, and scheduling with accuracy and efficiencyConduct intake interviews and support initial stages of clinic intake and schedulingInitiate and manage intake documentation, including consent forms, and required client paperwork.Educate potential clients on available services and expectations for the intake and therapy process.Accurately document all client interactions in tracking systems and the electronic medical record (EMR), ensuring timely, thorough, and organized recordkeeping.Coordinate client scheduling and referrals in partnership with clinical staff to support timely and appropriate access to care.Update and maintain electronic shared files, forms, and SharePoint sites for the clinical teamAssist director of clinical education with document creation, control, and accessibility for operating procedures, training and onboarding processes, and college and departmental directivesComplete purchasing and requisitions required for clinic operations and clinical educationMust be able to resolve unexpected issues and exercise independent judgment facilitating clinical operations Grant Management Create a dashboard to track clients participating in grant funded clinical activities, support clinical education team with grant management related to clinical service provisionGenerate monthly grant report summaries Establish and maintain affiliation agreements with all community partners Other Responsibilities Arrange work related travel for clinical team and complete associated reporting and requisitions.Coordinate and complete outreach for graduate student externship placements with supportWork closely with director of clinical education and academic department coordinator to complete budget related tracking and reporting for clinic Position Competencies Demonstrates values-based leadership by modeling CADRE values, building trust through self-awareness and emotional intelligence, seeking feedback, and navigating conflict productively.Ensures operational effectiveness by managing priorities, time, and resources responsibly, adhering to policies, delivering measurable results, and meeting performance expectations.Aligns individual work with team and departmental goals by contributing to shared priorities, seeking clarity, and adapting to change in support of the 2030 Strategic Plan.Practices collaboration by communicating clearly, checking for understanding, building strong relationships, and engaging diverse perspectives to achieve shared outcomes.Advances equity and belonging with awareness of culture and potential biases, listens openly to diverse perspectives, contributing to respectful and inclusive work relationships.Innovates by developing professional skills, staying informed on relevant trends, and identifying opportunities to improve processes and outcomes. This range takes into account a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, analysis of internal equity, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience. The anticipated hiring range that the university reasonably expects to pay for this .5 FTE position is $28,000 - $31,000. This position is paid monthly and is eligible for MSU Denver benefits.
