Central Maine Healthcare (CMH), a member of Prime Healthcare Foundation, is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving approximately 400,000 residents across central, western, and midcoast Maine through a network of more than 40 primary and specialty care locations. The system includes Central Maine Medical Center (CMMC) in Lewiston, a 250-bed, not-for-profit regional referral hospital that is home to the region's only Cancer Care Center, an orthopedic ambulatory surgery center, and the Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute. CMMC also serves as the central Maine base for LifeFlight of Maine, the state's only medical helicopter service. About the role

Full-time, days position located at the Ambulatory Surgery Center, 690 Minot Ave #1, Auburn, ME 04210.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative setting through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults.
  • Coordinate patient care with the surgeon and anesthesiologist, direct and guide OR Technicians and other personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing.
  • Collaborate with other departments and co-workers to ensure continuous, quality patient care, efficient patient flow, and unit maintenance and organization.
  • Adhere to regulations, standards, and hospital or unit policies and procedures.
  • Participate in Performance Improvement activities, unit meetings, and in-services.
  • Act as a resource for other personnel as appropriate.

Requirements

  • Current and valid state RN License.
  • Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • Current ACLS (AHA) certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
  • Current PALS (AHA) certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
  • Minimum of one year previous Perioperative experience or on-the-job training.
  • Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN) preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Pay

Competitive compensation estimate for this role is $33.00 to $46.07 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined based on skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
