Ambulatory Surgery Center RN - Orthopedic Surgery
About the role
Under the direction of the RN Manager ASC KC, you will assume independent responsibility and accountability for the direct, primary care of patients through the pre/post phases of surgical care. Utilizing the nursing process, you will provide comprehensive nursing care during the peri-operative phase and coordinate total patient care in collaboration with other health care team members. You will function as a patient advocate, utilizing the Patients' Bill of Rights, and serve as a liaison between physicians, staff, patients, and their families to facilitate safe and effective patient care.
This role includes demonstrating professional growth and development, providing direction and supervision of nursing and support staff, and performing related duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct, primary care to patients during the pre- and post-operative phases.
- Utilize the nursing process to deliver comprehensive peri-operative nursing care.
- Coordinate total patient care in collaboration with other health care team members.
- Act as a patient advocate, ensuring adherence to the Patients' Bill of Rights.
- Serve as a liaison between physicians, staff, patients, and families to facilitate safe and effective care.
- Demonstrate professional growth and development by accepting responsibility and accountability for nursing practice.
- Provide direction and supervision to nursing and support staff as needed.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Washington Registered Nurse License (upon hire).
- National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association (upon hire).
- 1 year of nursing experience.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $41.56 - $64.52 per hour. These amounts reflect the base pay range; additional compensation may be available, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
