Ambulatory Surgery Center RN - Orthopedic Surgery

About the role

Under the direction of the RN Manager ASC KC, you will assume independent responsibility and accountability for the direct, primary care of patients through the pre/post phases of surgical care. Utilizing the nursing process, you will provide comprehensive nursing care during the peri-operative phase and coordinate total patient care in collaboration with other health care team members. You will function as a patient advocate utilizing the Patients' Bill of Rights, demonstrate professional growth and development, and serve as a liaison between physicians, staff, patients, and their families to facilitate safe and effective patient care.

This role assists in providing direction and supervision of nursing and support staff, all while performing related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, primary care of patients during the pre/post phases of surgical care.
• Utilize the nursing process to deliver comprehensive peri-operative nursing care.
• Coordinate total patient care in collaboration with other health care team members.
• Act as a patient advocate, ensuring adherence to the Patients' Bill of Rights.
• Demonstrate professional growth and accountability for nursing practice.
• Serve as a liaison between physicians, staff, patients, and families to ensure safe and effective patient care flow.
• Provide direction and supervision to nursing and support staff.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Washington Registered Nurse License (upon hire).
• National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association (upon hire).
• 1 year of nursing experience.

Pay

The wage range for this position is $41.56 - $64.52 per hour. These amounts represent the base pay range; additional compensation may be available, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Schedule

Per-Diem, Day shift.
