About the role

The Clinic Rehab Assistant will join our rehabilitation team to provide outstanding patient care and services. This position is a Partner for Good opportunity where you can make a significant impact on the care and experience of our patients and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Assists the Rehabilitation Services Care Teams in providing patient care and services
  • Performs a variety of clerical tasks
  • Works independently under the supervision of multiple rehabilitation professionals on recurring assignments
  • Promotes and maintains good customer relations and patient confidentiality
  • Works in a fast-paced environment that includes switching between tasks
  • Works with computers and learns new equipment and software as needed within the scope of the role
  • Communicates effectively in person and over the phone with a wide variety of patients, including those with speech and hearing impairments, those requiring interpreters

Requirements

  • Six months experience in a customer service job, or medical related experience in a hospital, rehab, or clinical setting
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that includes switching between tasks
  • Comfortable working with computers and learning new equipment and software as needed within the scope of the role
  • Knowledge of medical terminology

Qualifications

  • Strong verbal communication, customer relations and listening skills are essential
  • Good telephone etiquette, money handling, and keyboarding skills are needed
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that includes switching between tasks
  • Comfortable working with computers and learning new equipment and software as needed within the scope of the role
  • Knowledge of medical terminology

Skills

  • Strong verbal communication and customer relations skills
  • Good telephone etiquette and keyboarding skills
  • Ability to work independently and problem-solve
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
