About the role
The Clinic Nurse Manager oversees and directs nursing staff in providing quality patient care services at North East Medical Services.
Responsibilities
- Supervises and provides direction for RN Team Leaders, Clinic Nurse Educator, LVNs and Medical Assistants.
- Works closely with RN team leaders to promote clinic operations.
- Develops and implements departmental goals annually.
- Evaluates performance of RN team leads through review of completed work assignments, job knowledge, and skills.
- Coordinates and monitors special programs such as CDP, PACT, CPSP, and DPH vaccine program.
- Ensures availability and operation of necessary equipment and supplies for patient care.
- Provides in-service training to nursing staff.
- Delegates responsibilities based on staff qualifications.
- Involved in risk management and performance improvement initiatives.
- Coordinates monthly nursing department and nurse team leader meetings.
- Prepares and participates in health plan and program audits.
- Addresses grievances and resolves problems.
- Solves any unresolved problems and acts as a troubleshooter.
Requirements
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing program.
- Bachelor’s degree or two years related worked experience.
- Minimum of two years recent acute care experience as an RN.
- Current California Registered Nurse License.
- Demonstrated skills in supervision, leadership, and communication.
- Willingness to work with para-professional and non-medical personnel.
- Recent experience in a clinic or outpatient setting desirable.
- Current documentation of Basic Life Support.
Qualifications
- Fluency in English.
- Fluency in Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin), Vietnamese, Spanish, and other languages may be required depending on location.
- Fluency in other languages is an asset.
