Clinic Manager

About the Role

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the clinic.
• Assist ophthalmologist(s) in clinic, surgery, and research to deliver the highest standards of patient care by following clinic policies and physician direction.
• Ensure appropriate clinical staffing, including hiring, orientation, performance evaluations, training, coaching, and counseling of all clinical support staff.
• Serve as a liaison between physicians, the management team, and clinical support staff; conduct regular team meetings to ensure effective communication.
• Monitor hours worked and clinical support staff utilization while fully understanding the various clinical support roles.
• Build and foster a positive team environment, promoting a positive work culture and experience.
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members for continued growth and success.
• Participate in annual performance reviews by providing feedback and identifying development needs and opportunities for staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or two to three years of related experience.
• Certified Ophthalmic Assistant or Certified Ophthalmic Technician certification.
• Previous management experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
