Clinic LPN/ Medical Assistant III - Skin Care Clinic

About the role

The Medical Assistant III position at Facility Steeplechase Family Physicians is part of CoxHealth, a leading healthcare system serving 25 counties across southwest Missouri and northern Arkansas.

Responsibilities

• Answering phones and scheduling appointments
• Data entry in medical records
• Making measurements and recording vital signs
• Collecting and recording patient demographics and medical information
• Preparing patients for examinations
• Cleaning rooms and equipment
• Stocking supplies
• Administering medications as ordered by the physician
• Performing specific competencies as directed by the department

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Graduated from or completed a formal MA training program that includes pharmacology, anatomy/physiology, the basics of medication administration, and a clinical externship
• Preferred: Previous experience in direct contact with people and in health care settings, particularly in ambulatory clinics
