Responsibilities

  • Responsible for assisting physicians with patient care, clerical, environmental and organization tasks.
  • Responsible for appointment scheduling and chart management.
  • Provides information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from the clinic services.
  • Conveys a positive image of organization.
  • Delegates and follows up with medical assistant staff within the clinic.
  • The Lead works under the Clinic Manager / Director to assist with maintaining efficient patient flow and quality care during clinic hours.
  • This position assists the supervisors in training new staff.
  • Works as part of a health care team including physicians, NP/PA’s, patient services representatives, medical records, medical assistants, health educators and social workers to provide comprehensive care in a non‑judgmental manner.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school for Medical Assistants, Surgical Technologists, or one year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician clinic setting.
  • Current BLS certification upon hire and maintained current.
  • Current medical assistant credential from a nationally recognized Medical Assistant Credentialing organization required.
  • One year experience as a medical assistant in a clinic setting preferred.
  • Lead/Management experience preferred.
  • Training/Preceptor experience preferred.

Pay

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $23.10 to $33.46. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
