About the role

The Clinic Lead will coach and lead clinical staff to instill the organization’s mission, vision, and values through education, demonstration, and results. They will also efficiently direct patient flow throughout the clinic, assist back-office staff, and ensure consistent inventory management.

Responsibilities

  • Coach and lead clinical staff to instill the organization’s mission, vision, and values through education, demonstration, and results.
  • Direct patient flow and assist back-office staff with rooming, assessment, procedure assist, provider assist, and intake of medical history into EMR.
  • Resolve daily workplace issues and maintain efficient workflow; assure coverage of all areas of responsibility.
  • Adequately train new hire staff and consistently follow applicable Standard Operating Procedures and Workflow.
  • Lead ongoing quality monitoring of staff competencies and assist in training and education.
  • Oversight of ERP inventory management, performing monthly cycle counts of medical supplies and medications, ensuring consistent and adequate inventory, and reconciling monthly inventory with 100% accuracy.
  • Support medical assistant staff with patient issues, coordinate break and lunch coverage, and provide coverage during staff absences.
  • Maintain exam rooms for cleanliness and proper stocking, and ensure the check-off list is accurate and completed.
  • Assist medical assistants with patient care, retrieving labs, specialty report information, and administering immunizations as needed.

  • Monitor in-house medical equipment calibrations and coordinate with Clinic Supervisor on audit preparation.
  • Disseminate information to the medical assistant and other staff regarding updates, changes, and new developments with clinic policies and procedures, software updates, reports, and provide staff training as needed.
  • Attend weekly and monthly meetings with Clinic Leadership.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Clinical practice experience or equivalent management experience in the healthcare field, and/or significant leadership experience in operations required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of working experience in a medical practice or clinic preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrates an ability to generate creative and innovative approaches to solve problems.

Qualifications

  • Medical practice experience or equivalent management experience in the healthcare field, and/or significant leadership experience in operations required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of working experience in a medical practice or clinic preferred.
